This linked article is great. Sadie certainly is unique.
I’d like to mention that Matthew Taylor dodn’t actually invent the “bullet point” pencil-point… The bullet point shape is just what you end up with most often while sharpening a pencil with a razor or a knife (or, at least, it’s what my family ends up with). ;)
